The UNDP Country Programme Action Plan (CPAP 2007-2011) Mid-term Review meeting was held on Thursday 20th August 2009 at the Kairaba Beach Hotel. At the Meeting, UNDP together with its implementing partners reviewed the progress against outcomes of the first half of the CPAP and endorsed the key areas and targets for Programme interventions in the second half of the CPAP. The meeting was chaired by Mr Ebrima Camara, Permanent Secretary, Office of The President.

UNDP handover equipment and furniture to Media Houses and Civil Society Organization (CSOs).

The UNDP Project ”Capacity Building of Media Houses and Civil Society Organisations” in The Gambia is implemented by Action Aid International The Gambia (AAITG) and The African Centre for Democracy and Human Rights Studies (ACDHRS). The ultimate aim of the project is to improve public participation in the economic and political governance at the decentralized level through strengthening the ability of civil society institutions and the media.
